Purchase a planner.
If you want to plan out your wedding the right way, the first thing that you need to purchase or acquire right from the get go is a bible or some kind of planner that you can put in all of your notes in, contact info from the vendors, samples for fabrics, business cards, flyers, and so on and so forth. Planning an event as huge and as major as a wedding is hard enough as it is. It will be even way harder if you aren’t organized in your approach. However, if you have everything that you could possibly ever need all in one place, you get to make sure that things are bound to work out in your favor at the end of the day and this is something that will always make your planning process so much easier to deal with when it all comes down to it. Segregate your notes into sections. Don’t be afraid to overload your planner a little. The more options you have as a bride to be, the more you get to make sure that you will be able to go for nothing but the best of the best in the wedding that you are planning out.
Deal with your vendors accordingly.
Research them one by one and categorize them based on their importance or relevance to the wedding that you are planning out and based on the costs that they will incur. Your main needs for the wedding based on vendors are basically as follows: the wedding venue, wedding photography, wedding registry or the legal requirements of getting married, getting a planner, if you can afford one, the dress, and then the rest of the other details sort of trickle down to the bottom. Make no mistake though; this is something that you seriously need cover for all across the board. In order for a wedding to turn out as a success, all details large and small need to be taken care of and handled accordingly. However, you need to prioritize your venue, your wedding photography, and your legalities among all of them because without these vendors, there will be no wedding or the rest will turn out to be a bit useless in the long run.
Draft a budget
Try to draft up and identify a budget that you would like to go ahead and stay in one way or the other and this is the type of thing that you should be looking into one way or the other. Make sure that you are always well within range all the time. Going off budget is not the kind of thing that you would want to go ahead and fall into one way or the other and you need to make sure that you will be able to do something about it at some point or so. Make sure that you have things under control and always run rough calculations of your total running costs for the wedding to keep you in check all the time with regards to the things that you need to pull off at some point or so.
